Description:
Provide complete electrical and mechanical maintenance support for the utilities systems in a high-speed bottling facility. Ensure that processing, filling, sterilizing, and packaging equipment are supplied with the necessary clean steam, water, compressed air, etc. Execute repair work orders and requests in a timely manner to ensure production needs are met. Perform the above tasks in a safe manner following safety and environmental regulations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a 1,000 HP and two 800 HP boilers and back-up fuel oil system.
- Maintain de-aerators, de-alkalizers, and water softeners
- Maintain chemical feed systems for boiler water quality.
- Conduct water quality tests for boiler water quality
- Maintain and monitor four Trane chillers.
- Maintain five evaporative cooling towers.
- Conduct water quality tests for retort cooling water loop.
- Maintain two Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems
- Monitor utility’s chemical inventory to include ordering chemicals when needed.
- Maintain three large air compressors
- Provide immediate assistance to downtime situations.
- Trouble-shoot equipment malfunctions and make repairs accordingly.
- Ensure all repairs are documented.

- Follows all DFA GMP’s, cleans work areas upon completing a project and works in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
- Perform other tasks and jobs as necessary.

Education and Experience §High School/GED, Technical/Military/College a plus. §Experience working with processing, bottling, canning, packaging equipment, or related field is preferred. §Minimum 3 years of skilled industrial maintenance experience. §Experience in plant utilities is strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of, and ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with CMMS programs
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and company computer system
- Able to read, write, and speak English
