Job Description
Looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician.
- Knowledge of heating systems, refrigeration, basic electricity, and mechanics.
- Able to read electrical schematics, reset breakers, test fuses, install & alight a pump, and understand basic rigging.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment in compliance with all safety procedures
- Support the installation of new equipment, support and implementation of preventive maintenance program
- Assist the machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime
- Ensure all repairs are documented
- Keep management informed of any maintenance issues
- Complete work orders as assigned
- Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive
- Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
- Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment
- Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity
- Attend required training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)
- Work schedule includes on call and weekend shifts
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma orGED
- General mechanical and maintenance knowledge - must be able to pass appropriate maintenance testing
- 4 years of process manufacturing environment maintenance work experience required.
- Certification and/or License -- 2 year formal mechanical and/ or electrical education certificate preferred
Salary:
$31.00/ hour
