Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), Dairy Brandshas an opening for aFleet Compliance Specialist position. The role can sit anywhere in the Central Region: Dallas, TX Indianapolis, Indiana, Kansas City, KS.
The Fleet Compliance Specialist will manage the registration and compliance process for new equipment and acquisitions, including IRP registration and lease buyouts, as well as annual IRP renewals. They will coordinate filings to ensure all registrations remain current and compliant.
This role includes responsibility for IFTA account maintenance, such as annual renewals, decal ordering, and quarterly filings. The specialist will ensure proper record keeping for all IFTA activity for a minimum of seven years. They will also manage intrastate fuel tax accounts, including renewals, additions/removals, decal updates, and long-term documentation retention.
Oversight of mileage tax accounts is also required, including monthly and quarterly filings, annual renewals, account updates, and maintaining accurate records for audit purposes. Monthly fuel file tracking will support tax filing accuracy, and the specialist will ensure annual completion of Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) filings.
While the core responsibilities are outlined above, the Fleet Compliance Specialist may also be assigned additional duties as needed to support evolving compliance requirements and fleet operations.
Benefits:
2–3 years of experience in fleet compliance, transportation administration, or a similar role
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred)
Familiarity with IRP, IFTA, mileage tax, and UCR regulations.
Proven ability to manage regulatory deadlines and maintain accurate records
Excellent organizational and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Additional Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with fleet management and compliance tracking systems
• Ability to analyze and reconcile fuel usage and mileage reports
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Commitment to confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information
