Perform trailer movement according to prioritization to optimize plant or warehouse efficiencies and production needs
Hook, unhook and move trucks to and from the service department and around dock area
Spot or position loaded and unloaded trailers at assigned dock space for unloading or loading
Connect loaded semitrailers to tractors for the drivers
Maintain accurate trailer and inventory movement log
Follow steps to ensure proper operation and perform periodic preventive maintenance including pre and post trip inspections of equipment in the area
Perform duties required to ensure that assigned area is sanitary and clean
Wash exterior of trucks and trailers if appropriate for yard location
Complete sales route deliveries and/or over-the-road routes, as needed
Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity and accidents and injuries
Attend all driver workshops and training sessions

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Tractor/trailer experience, within the last five years preferred
Must meet minimum age requirements
Meet all DOT requirements
Meet Dairy Farmers of America Motor Vehicle Record requirements
Certification and/or License – Current CDL (Class A) license in state of residence; current tanker endorsement if needed
